Lacq End Sealer – Optimal protection for cut edges and drill holes in wood

Lacq offers the right wood protection for every job!
Lacq Edge Sealer is a water-based wood protector designed for untreated cut edges and drill holes in preserved wood. The product provides protection against moisture penetration and also serves as an additional protective layer before applying primer and topcoat, helping to prevent excessive absorption.

Applications

To be used on:

• Unfinished cut ends
• End grain of wood

Suitable for:

• General construction timber
• Decking boards and terraces
• Garden wood
• Fencing

Application instructions

1. Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and solid. Remove dirt, dust, mold, algae, and loose particles. Sanding is not necessary.
2. Degrease and clean using Fluxaf Pro-Clean.
3. Stir the product well from the bottom.
4. Apply with a flat brush or roller, preferably in the direction of the wood grain.
5. Thinning is not required. If desired, dilute with up to 5% water.
6. Apply one coat.
7. Allow to dry completely (approx. 2 hours) before applying primer and topcoat.

Important notes

• Not suitable for large surfaces or preservation under vacuum or pressure.
• Hazardous to bees – do not use near beehives.
• Protect nearby water sources such as ponds, aquariums, or water tanks before applying.
• Durability depends on wood quality, proper preparation, correct application, maintenance, and exposure.
